Project Overview
The Risk Management Professionals Forum (RMPF) is a not-for-profit, member-driven association established in 2018 to advance sound risk-management practice across the Arab world. Flash Point designed and developed its complete digital platform — a bilingual, content-rich system that serves as the association’s membership hub, publishing house, learning centre, online store and professional community in a single place.
Business Objective
Give a respected regional professional body a credible, scalable digital home: one bilingual platform where professionals can discover the forum, join as members, access publications and research, take courses, shop memberships and resources, and connect with peers — while the organisation manages content and members without manual overhead.
Challenges
- Deliver a genuinely bilingual experience (English and Arabic) with correct right-to-left layout across every page and module.
- Consolidate many distinct functions — membership, directory, publications, news, research, courses, store and forum — into one coherent, navigable system.
- Provide member accounts and authentication, with member-only actions (posting topics, submitting content) gated behind sign-in.
- Support a content-publishing workflow for articles, news, research, courses and member submissions that can grow over time.
- Present the organisation with the polish and trust expected of an established, multi-country professional association.
Solution Delivered
Flash Point built the platform on Next.js (App Router) with React and TypeScript, structured for full English/Arabic internationalisation with RTL. A CMS-driven content layer powers the knowledge base — articles, news, research & studies, and the magazine — while an authentication system underpins member registration, login and member-only actions. The platform unifies a searchable member directory, a categorised community forum (general discussions, Q&A, risk-management topics), a courses section with training videos and difficulty levels, and a membership store selling memberships, reports, books and tools/templates. A newsletter with topic preferences and a content-submission/review flow round out the experience — all optimised, responsive and SEO-ready.

- Card-based news and publication previews with covers, summaries and dates for fast scanning.

Responsive Experience
Built mobile-first and fully responsive: layouts, navigation and the member/knowledge grids adapt cleanly from phones to desktop, with optimised, appropriately sized imagery via next/image.
